The Wonderful World of XML & Metadata

This stuff is pretty deep, but interesting. The article is called "What is XML and what does it mean for Final Cut Studio users?". OK, I'm not going to try and describe what XML is, but let me point out some cool applications that use XML.

Spherico makes a plugin that will convert text into FCP titles called Title Exchange Pro. This could help with creating subtitles if you already had a translation (hello, Latin Pulse.)

Another cool looking application is program called Final Log. It's used for logging and transcribing and will get info from and send info to FCP through XML. Final Log is standalone or works with Filemaker Pro.

Also there's CatDV. It seems like a good media asset management system for video that's moderately priced and has good FCP integration. I need to look more into this.

Off to a great start!

I'd like to get Final Log asap for the Turkey material.

Also need to talk to you about the HDV-25 ? player-recorder.

I'm coming in today. See you.
