More on hardware upgrading. Mactracker is a nifty little, free app. It seems to list every piece of hardware that Apple has ever made with all of its hardware specs. This is helpful if you want to upgrade your RAM or hard drive or add a PCI card. You also can get system info for a Mac you are using with About This Mac info under the Apple Menu.
Mactracker also has some fun stuff (e.g., it will play the "death chime" for the Power Mac G3, which unfortunately I have heard before.)
